Abstract

The current study analyzes the impact of parents' guidance (PG), time management (TM), learning facilities (LF), and the use of social media (USM) on the academic performance of students at higher education levels. For this purpose, a quantitative research design was adopted according to the nature of this study. The questionnaire was developed on a five-point scale. The researcher collected data from 269 students through an online Google survey with the help of simple random sampling. Collected data were analyzed with the help of a statistical package for social science (SPSS). Results of the study reveal that most students think their parents’ guide them properly and regularly. At the same time, they follow a good time management schedule to achieve their academic goals. Further, most students consider their universities to provide good learning facilities while their teachers adopt the best teaching strategies to enhance their learning for better academic performance. Most students also acknowledge using different social media platforms to communicate and share educational updates. Major recommendations of the study suggested that proper supervision and encouragement are necessary to assist students in modifying their attitudes toward their learning.
